Interview with Student

This is Tony D’Arcangelo, he’s a sophomore who’s a communication major from Concord, NH. While interviewing Tony I explained to him what my goal was, which was attacking the topic of how important communication is to our generation. He expressed that he had very bad social anxiety growing up and he felt like every moment in his life he was in a situation where he had to communicate. He stated “ I had overcome this fear because I started working at a young age and being in the working place you have no other choice but to communicate with your peers and the customers”. Tony was saying these hard and heart shivering moments is what caused him to pick his major. Stepping out of your comfort zone is one of the main points that Tony was expressing to me. He left me with a lot of key points but the main one that stood out was “The underrated hard part about the communication process is you have to learn the different stages of the professional side and even understand what’s being said to you”.
