LWS Redemption
There’s a lot of things I will do to make sure I’m 100% on track with my assignments to make sure I never miss a piece of an assignment ever again. When you transition from different levels of school you tend to forget that all teachers are different. Throughout my years in school I would sometimes skim through rubrics and descriptions of assignments just so I can get the idea of it. Obviously that has never been the key to doing things so I have to change my mechanisms in order for me to excel at a high level. I will start to read the whole assignment that is documented to me and maybe ask questions even if I don’t have any but just for reassurance. I can’t continue to let myself be stubborn thinking that I know what I’m doing when I don’t. Maybe even throw multiple reminders for certain parts of the assignment so I understand it. Reminder or Notepad apps are free on all devices so that doesn’t cost anything to just throw your assignments in there. Even while reading the given assignment, maybe I can highlight the main points of the assignment. After I finish the whole thing then I should revise it while scaling the whole rubric and pinpointing to make sure I touched every single thing that was asked of me. The little things that I do I will succeed doing will become essential then it’ll just be a routine for me. Coming out of highschool you have to tighten up on your work because certain teachers want their work done a certain way. Even at my highschool though we were held to a high standard but I think I got off a little easy sometimes. Of course not everybody is perfect and they won’t read everything correctly but there’s never room for excuses. Cleaning up your mistakes is a part of being a responsible student. In our generation of students there is a huge lack of responsibility. Life will not always give you second chances so it’s your job to make sure that you are taking care of your priorities. I set a higher standard for myself and I feel like I’m not exceeding what I know I could do. I will continue to give it my all in everything that is assigned to me because my teachers deserve to see my hard work.
